Club Policy on Members Paying for Events

 

  1. A member is only fully reimbursed if he is either dead or in hospital on the day of the event.
     

  2. If, having booked to attend an event, a member or partner does not turn up at an event or had advised the organiser of the event that they could not attend, then a reimbursement may be possible if the organiser can negotiate a reduction in the costs with the event destination.
     

  3. However a full reimbursement may not be possible if, for example, a coach was involved in which case the member would still have to pay his (and his partner’s) share of the cost of the coach.
     

  4. It is up to the organiser of an event to clearly give a cut off date for the event after which members who signed up are committed to pay the full amount unless the above applies.
     

  5. Widows are fully reimbursed if they do not attend an event.
